If you have been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) we can represent you in court to make sure your rights are protected, whether you think you have an easy case to win or no chance whatsoever. Pfeifer & Pfeifer can challenge any attempt by the State to convict you, suspend your driver’s license, and assess high fines against you.

Driving under the influence is a misdemeanor offense in Illinois with a possible penalty of up to 364 days in jail, up to $2500 in fines, or both.

DUI can be charged in a number of ways:

Persons charged with DUI face several risks, from the risk of incarceration to the risk of the loss of driving priveleges. Other possible ramifications include court-mandated alcohol or drug treatment and community service as part of a sentence of supervision or probation.

In some circumstances, DUI can be charged as a felony. In these cases, a person charged is facing a potential sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections, in addition to the above risks.

If you are charged with DUI, you have many rights. Please contact us to arrange for a confidential consultation. There is no charge for the initial consultation about your case.

When you are arrested for DUI, your driving privleges may be summarily suspended by the Illinois Secretary of State. You may be able to challenge this suspension. Be aware that there are certain time limits on these challenges.
